Emily Taylor grew up in Galena, Illinois, a charming small town in the Midwest. Looking for new experiences and warmer weather she moved to Tempe, Arizona in 2000. Emily graduated from Arizona State University in 2003, and shortly thereafter attended The University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, graduating in 2007. For the past 12 years Emily has practiced solely in in the areas of probate, elder law, special needs planning, estate planning and end of life planning.

Ms. Taylor was selected for inclusion in the Arizona Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, a list which recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state in a given year. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., a “professional association of attorneys who are dedicated to improving the quality of legal services provided to people as they age and people with special needs” and in 2017 Ms. Taylor joined the Arizona NAELA Board of Directors.
Emily is also a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Maricopa County Bar Association, and SARRC’s Planned Giving Professional Advisory Council. Emily currently serves on the Mental Health & Special Needs Planning Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona.

Emily is active in the community and volunteers with various local organizations, including Hospice of the Valley and the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Probate Lawyers Assistance Project.
She loves to travel, and some of her favorite trips have been to Greece, Brazil, Portugal and Thailand. Emily also loves to cook, practice yoga and read.
