Celebrating 10 Years of Growth, Change, and Service: A Look Back and a Look Ahead

As we approach 2025, we’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone: our 10-year anniversary! Over the past decade, we’ve grown from humble beginnings to become a trusted resource for Arizonans seeking estate and special needs planning. This anniversary is not just a celebration of our firm but a reflection of the incredible clients, team members, and community that have supported us along the way.

A Decade of Growth and Change

Our journey began in the winter of 2014, when we opened our doors in Scottsdale. Back then, it was just me, Emily Taylor (and my mom answering the phones!) guiding our first clients through the estate planning process. From day one, our mission was clear: to provide families with personalized, compassionate legal services that protect what matters most.  Shortly thereafter we added trusted team members, with Jessica joining us in the fall of 2015.

In the spring of 2016, we moved to Phoenix, setting the stage for new opportunities and growth. By March of 2020, we had outgrown our space and moved to our current location, which has allowed us to expand our services and welcome new team members. Today, our firm has grown to a dedicated team of seven professionals, each committed to helping families navigate the complexities of estate and special needs planning with care and expertise.

Throughout this journey, one thing has remained constant: our focus on serving Arizonan families. From helping parents ensure their children’s futures are secure to empowering individuals with disabilities to access the resources they need, our work is deeply rooted in the needs of our community.

Honored to Be Part of Leading Professional Organizations

A cornerstone of our success has been our involvement with leading organizations in the fields of estate planning, special needs planning, and elder law. These memberships and affiliations reflect our commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards and staying at the forefront of legal developments:

  • Special Needs Alliance (SNA): As a proud member of this invitation-only organization, we collaborate with top attorneys across the country to advocate for individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Arizona State Bar: Through active membership, we uphold the ethical and professional standards required to serve Arizonan families with distinction.
  • Academy of Special Needs Planners (ASNP): Our involvement allows us to leverage cutting-edge strategies and resources to better serve families navigating special needs planning.
  • National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA): By participating in this respected organization, we contribute to advancing the field of elder law and ensuring that aging and vulnerable populations receive the care and resources they need.

Deepening Our Roots Through Community Involvement

Our firm’s mission goes beyond providing legal services—it’s about making a meaningful impact on the community we serve. Over the years, we’ve partnered with and supported several organizations dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals and families with special needs:

  • SARRC (Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center): Serving on a professional advisory committee and collaborating to empower individuals with autism and their families through research, education, and resources.
  • Care4the Caregivers: Supporting caregivers who selflessly care for loved ones with disabilities or aging-related needs.
  • Empowered Theatre and Arts: Promoting creative opportunities for individuals with disabilities to express themselves through the arts.
  • The Opportunity Tree: Advocating for and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Autism Life and Living: Partnering to provide housing solutions and community resources for adults with autism.
  • And More!

These partnerships reflect our dedication to the broader community, helping us connect with and support families outside of the legal realm.

Looking Ahead: Celebrating Our 10-Year Anniversary

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re excited to honor the past, celebrate the present, and embrace the future. Our 10-year anniversary is more than just a date—it’s an opportunity to express our gratitude and give back to the community that has made this journey possible.

Here’s what to expect in 2025:

  • Client Appreciation Events: We’ll host special events to thank the clients who have trusted us over the years. Keep an eye out for invitations to join us as we celebrate together!
  • Educational Workshops and Webinars: In line with our commitment to empowering families, we’ll offer free workshops and webinars throughout the year to share valuable insights about estate and special needs planning.
  • Community Give-Back Initiatives: We’ll be partnering with local organizations to give back to the community that has supported us. From volunteering to fundraising, we’re excited to make a positive impact.
  • Firm Highlights and Stories: Throughout the year, we’ll share stories from our journey, introduce our amazing team members, and highlight key moments from the past decade.

Thank You for Being Part of Our Story

As we reflect on 10 years of change and growth, we want to thank each of you—our clients, team members, and community partners—for being part of this incredible journey. Your trust and support have allowed us to grow into the firm we are today, and we look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Here’s to a year of celebration, gratitude, and continued service!
